` Intelligent and Mobile Robotics

Research

Research activities of the Intelligent and Mobile Robotics Group (IMR) correlate with the main objective focused on design and development of intelligent unmanned vehicles. Planning, navigation, swarms and large maps can be highlighted as core streams of research at IMR, beside necessary supporting effort, which consists in building own robotic platforms and testing facilities.

In the planning stream, researchers of IMR deal with problems of motion planning in high dimensional space, trajectory planning for multi-robot systems, multi-goal path planning etc. The navigation stream is focused on visual navigation of mobile robots with monocular cameras. In the swarm stream, autonomous multi-robot systems using formation control and nature inspired swarm rules are designed. And finally, the aim of the large maps (LaMa) stream is to deal with huge amount of information gained during large-scale outdoor environment mapping.
